Dr. Prakash Kafle

Dr. Prakash Kafle is a consultant ENT and Head Neck Surgeon and chief of ENT and Head, at HAMS.

Dr. Kafle is known as pioneer of starting coblation surgery in Nepal. He is one of first to start Endoscopic Ear surgery in Nepal as well. He is credited with starting nasal surgery without nasal packing in Nepal.

Dr. Prakash kafle graduated from LVOV State Medical University where he received his MD. He did his post graduate work at BPKIHS, Dharan where he received his MS in ENT and Head and Neck Surgery.

In addition he also completed fellowships in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and septoplasty at MCV memorial ENT Trust Hospital, Tamilnadu, India and had short training in coblation surgery and Endoscopic Ear Surgery in Korea and Singapore.

Dr. Kafle was Head of Department for 6+ year in Grande International Hospital and Credited with establishment of the department. He was a faculty member as from Lecture to Ass Professor in the department of ENT and Head neck Surgery at Kathmandu Medical College sinamangal, priory to join GIH.

Dr Prakash Kafle is a social worker form Ramechhap and noted social campaigner with Ear Care Nepal an NGO established with fellow ENT Surgeons with a motto-“Reach the unreached” and organizes regular Ear screening camp and Ear Surgery camp for school children in different part of Nepal. He runs frequent social awareness programme of Ear, Nose and Throat problem with different NGO, INGO in different district of Nepal on regular basis.
