Bachelors of Physiotherapy (BPT)
Samjhana Gurung, BPT completed her Physiotherapy degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in 2012. She worked as a Physiotherapy Supervisor at International Nepal Fellowship (INF), Pokhara. During that time she got a great exposure in community based rehabilitation. Then she worked as a Head of Physiotherapy Department at Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Centre (SIRC), Sanga. She worked at Grande International Hospital before joining HAMS.
She has attended various conferences and workshops on taping techniques in sports and orthopedic conditions, manual therapy techniques, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, wheelchair service provision, physiotherapy and women’s’ health, accessibility and disability. Besides dealing with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, she has a special interest in women’s health. Many children with Cerebral Palsy and people with Spinal Cord Injury have benefited from her service. She looks upon to maximize the level of independence and improve the quality of life of each and every patient with her service.
She lives with her family in Kathmandu. She loves spending time with her daughter.
