HAMS Conducts a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program in Pokhara on neuro-interventions, pediatric dengue, and microbiomes in infections

On September the 13th, 2019, HAMS hospital conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program at the Shangri-la Village resort in Pokhara. The Chief Guest for the program was Dr. Buddhi Bahadur Thapa, Vice-Chancellor of Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences; other attendees included senior physicians and surgeons, members of the chamber of commerce, members of the hotel business association, and journalists.

As part of the program HAMS affiliates Dr. Bhagawan Koirala, Dr. Arjun Karki, Hospital Chairman Ram Sharan Bhandari, Medical Director Dr. Bhaskar Raj Pant led discussions and engaged in academic conversation. Dr. Anup Subedee spoke about the role of the microbiome in contributing to infectious diseases; Dr. Manoj Bohara spoke about non-invasive interventions in stroke management at HAMS; and Dr. Biraj Parajuli gave a talk on Dengue management for children. The conversation gave a broad overview of cutting-edge methods in medicine practiced at HAMS, and was a resounding success.
